Removing it
Five things were put on the machine: a background service, the app, the
rr tool, a directory of state, and any keys you stored. Remove them in this
order and nothing is left behind.
1. Stop and unregister the service
launchctl bootout gui/$UID/ai.rumrunner.rrd
rm -f ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ai.rumrunner.rrd.plist
First, because the service would otherwise be restarted by launchd while you are deleting the files under it.
2. The app, the tool, and the state directory
rm -f ~/.local/bin/rr
rm -rf /Applications/Rumrunner.app ~/Library/"Application Support"/Rumrunner
The state directory holds config.toml, rules.toml, the decision
log, the ledger database and the request log. If you want to keep the receipt, copy
ledger.db out first; it is a plain SQLite file.
Models pulled for Rumrunner live in Ollama's own store, not here, and Ollama
itself was installed separately. ollama list shows them and ollama rm
removes one; uninstalling Ollama is Ollama's business.
3. The Keychain items
Only if you stored a key. Each provider is one generic-password item under the service
ai.rumrunner, so either remove them with the tool before you delete it, or with
security afterwards:
rr keys list
rr keys rm anthropic # one per provider you stored
# or, after rr is gone:
security delete-generic-password -s ai.rumrunner -a anthropic
Keychain Access shows the same items under the name Rumrunner — anthropic
and so on. Nothing about a key was ever written anywhere else, so there is nowhere else to
look.
